Petra

Petra was photographed in her home just outside Harrogate. She's a four year old Great Dane and a very big girl (all 7 stone of her). Her owners were a little worried that she might get over-excited, crash into the studio equipment and knock it all over, but she was very calm and well behaved (and very pleasantly surprised because she's not normally allowed on the sofa, so was a real treat to cuddle up on the furniture with her humans).

It was a little bit tricky to manoeuvre her into position because she is so big, but she soon got the hang of it and we got some beautiful portraits of her with her owners.

Normally, we either plan an indoor portrait session, or an outdoor portrait session, but her owners had told me before the shoot that she just does a great Egyptian Sphynx impression on the wall outside her house, so we simply had to capture that as well as the indoor studio portraits.
